Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia, Global Internship in Mumbai

Introduction

Hey team! I’m Deklin, a second-year student at the University of Auckland, where I plan on graduating with a conjoint degree in Commerce and Global studies. 

Despite coming from a small town called Tokoroa, I have always wanted to see and explore the world, and I look forward to sharing it with everyone. I have completed international volunteering opportunities, mainly virtual, so I am keen to actually get on a plane and be in a different country while also pursuing my deep interest in business! 

Having received a Prime Minister’s Scholarship to complete an internship in Mumbai, I want to appreciate New Zealand more for what we have while deepening my intercultural view and understanding of international affairs between New Zealand and India. Professionally, I am keen to hone in on skills for creativity, problem-solving and analytical thinking, specifically in a business context.
