Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia, Reimagining India Study Tour

Introduction

Hi all, I’m Mai, and I’m currently studying at Victoria University of Wellington, majoring in History and International Relations with a minor in Political Science.

I applied for the Indo-Genius Reimagining India Tour as I am fascinated by the cultural differences between India and New Zealand.  Alongside this, the theistic diversity of India is something that incredibly interests me as the balance between religions is not commonly seen.

I look forward to learning about the varying forms of innovation that can be seen in India and how this connects to Indian history. As a history/IR major, I am generally intrigued by other cultures and their political and cultural backgrounds. Hopefully, at the end of this trip, I will have developed my knowledge and become a better global citizen, increasing my understanding of the world.
