Abbey Armstrong
Kia Ora! I’m Abbey, a fourth-year student working towards a conjoint degree in Global Studies (majoring in Global Politics, Human Rights, and Spanish) alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
I’m thrilled to be part of the PMSLA programme and to have the chance to immerse myself in Chilean culture! As a passionate people person, I am eager to meet new people and learn from their diverse perspectives and world views, all while honing my Spanish language skills.
Overall, this is a unique opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, grow as a global citizen, and most importantly, represent Aotearoa to the best of my ability.

¡Hola a todos! My name is Abbey, a fourth-year student at the University of Auckland, and I’m so excited to begin this journey. Over the next four weeks, I’ll be based in Santiago, Chile, and participating in the Apacheta program held at UC Chile, a Spanish language and cultural immersion programme.
