Springtime with some Sunshine?

Happy April! The weather is getting slightly better here in Manchester, with it now raining only five days of the week instead of six!

I kid, but after a wonderfully sunny mid-sem break exploring Switzerland, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the Manchester gloom feels a little dismal. Though thankfully, the blossoms are in full bloom, making the good days even better!

I’m heading into the final stretch of uni now, three weeks left, and then just over another two weeks until I’m finished with my exams. Everything’s going so quickly, I almost feel like I’m still settling in, but classes are still going full speed, not showing any sign of slowing down.

One of the things I’ve been loving the most since arriving here in the UK is how connected it all is. It’s so easy to take a train to a nearby town and spend the day exploring all it has to offer. Every town has its own, fascinating history, from Chester, which was once home to the biggest Roman fortress in Britain, to a slightly more recent Shakespeare-rich Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Speaking of Shakespeare, that leads me to another highlight of my exchange, seeing as much theatre as I can! I am a big fan of the theatre, and I feel so lucky to have the chance to see both familiar stories and new ones in locations like the West End and the aforementioned Stratford-Upon-Avon! With so many touring shows as well, it’s a great way to close off a week after (hopefully) a lot of studying.

That’s all from me for now, see you soon!
