This stop is JEJU, the last stop of our trip

Introduction

Embarking on an adventure to Jeju Island is a dream come true for many travelers seeking a blend of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and thrilling activities. With careful planning using the ‘Triple’ app (Well known Korean app for planning out journey), my friend and I embarked on an unforgettable journey to this enchanting South Korean destination. From scenic landscapes to mouthwatering culinary delights and adrenaline-pumping adventures, every moment on Jeju Island was a treasure.

Day 1: Discovering Jeju Island’s Delights

After meticulously planning our trip three weeks in advance, we started our day by catching an early morning domestic flight from Gimpo Airport to Jeju Ariport. Upon arrival, we wasted no time and headed straight to the rental car counter, where we picked up our vehicle for our stay. With our belongings safely stowed at the hotel, our first stop was a delectable Korean black pig restaurant, where we savored the renowned Jeju specialty, 흑돼지.

Refueled and ready to explore, we reached Randy’s Donuts, a picturesque spot along the coast. The breathtaking scenery compelled us to embark on a leisurely sightseeing stroll. On our way back, we couldn’t resist visiting Iho Tewoo Beach, known for its horse-shaped lighthouses. As the sun began to set, we immersed ourselves in the ambiance of the streets, eventually finding ourselves at PC Bang (피씨방), renowned for its high-quality gaming systems.

Before wrapping up our day, we visited the Jeju light festival to check out unique light arts.

Day 2: Unleashing Thrills and Artistic Delights

Eager to explore Jeju’s unique attractions, our first stop was Nohyung Story, a captivating digital art gallery. It beautifully combined the backdrop of an old Korean supermarket with modern technology, creating a visually stunning experience. Inside, sparkling lights added a charming touch to the exhibits, captivating our senses and immersing us in a world of nostalgia and artistry. The gallery’s calm, air-conditioned environment provided a refreshing escape from the summer heat, allowing us to appreciate the breathtaking visual displays fully.
In need of a quick pick-me-up, we paused to enjoy a cup of coffee while marveling at the magnificent views of the Jeju Sea. The island’s volcanic origins were evident as we encountered numerous volcanic rocks along our path, adding an element of mystique to our exploration.
Next, we arrived at 9.81 Park, an adrenaline seeker’s paradise. We couldn’t resist participating in the most considerable combined indoor and outdoor Jeju activity. Engaging in laser tag, we relished embracing our inner child, reminiscing about carefree days. But the ultimate thrill came with the Gravity Racer, an exhilarating racing game with speeds up to 40km/hr. After conquering the beginner to advanced levels, I secured first place among 116 participants, earning the chance to take on the elusive master challenge.
As the day drew to a close, we treated ourselves to a sushi feast, savoring the fresh flavors of the sea. We indulged in a soothing spa experience to unwind and rejuvenate, bidding farewell to our final evening on Jeju Island.

Conclusion: A Grateful Farewell

As my time on Jeju Island ended, I couldn’t help but feel immense gratitude for the unforgettable experiences I had encountered. Jeju Island exceeded my expectations, from the scenic wonders to the culinary delights and heart-pounding adventures.

For my final message, I sincerely appreciate my family, the 360 International Team, and the new friends I made at Korea University and within Korea for creating such memorable memories.
Thank you all, and until we meet again! (나중에 또 보자 쿠바친구들)
