Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia, Reimagining India with IndoGenius

Introduction

Kia ora,

I’m Shahmea Nowakowsky, proudly whakapapa to Ngā Rauru Kītahi and Ngā Puhi. I’ve recently moved to Te Whenua o Te Pōtiki-Tautahi (Ōtautahi – Christchurch) from Aorangi (Feilding). Currently, I’m a fourth-year Social Work student at Massey University.

By day, I’m part of the Caring Caller programme at Hato Hone St John, addressing social isolation in our community. I’m also a mum to two wonderful kids, aged 7 and 5, and engaged to Peter.

Now, the exciting part—I’m about to embark on my first international adventure, the PMSA 2022 Reimagining India Six Week Study Tour with IndoGenius. Immersing in a new culture, meeting diverse people, and exploring India’s innovations fills me with excitement. This journey promises personal growth, developing my social work skills and broadening my perspective.

Being the first in my family to attend university, receive a prestigious scholarship, and travel overseas, this journey holds great significance. I aim to inspire my children and future generations to explore the world’s boundless opportunities.

Join me on this journey through the 360 International Blog and Instagram. I am excited to share it with you and I hope you enjoy my content. Let’s reimagine India and the world, filled with optimism and excitement!

Warm regards,

Shahmea Nowakowsky
